Customers planning to shoot in HOSTILE ENVIRONMENTS where the equipment will be exposed to the penetration of foreign materials must advise the Company prior to estimates being issued. Damage due to exposure from foreign materials such as but not limited to SALT, WATER, DUST or SAND and/or the removal of residues from the Equipment will be charged to the Customer. It is generally held by insurers that damage to Equipment caused by exposure to HOSTILE ENVIRONMENTS is the responsibility of the Customer and must be borne as a cost of production.
It is recommended that the Customer makes its own checks for completeness, correct functioning and suitability of Equipment. This should include film testing of all cameras and taking adequate reserves of all essential items.
Equipment insurance will be effected by the Customer and the Customer must provide suitable insurance documents before the hire commences naming Panavision Australia Pty Ltd as an insured. (Refer to Clause 11 of Terms and Conditions.)
To avoid inconvenience to other hirers, any extension of hire must be arranged prior to termination of the original hire period. At that time further proof of insurance will be required.
All items are serviced at termination of each hire period but for extended hire, service and general maintenance may be arranged through our service department.
Any shortage of, damage to, or malfunctioning of Equipment should be reported to the Company immediately upon the return of Equipment.
